Eurostar – Welcome to High Speed Europe

2 Eurostar   Welcome to High Speed EuropeEurostar, the high speed passenger train will soon be making history as the High Speed 1 project nears it’s completion. From November 14th 2007, Eurostar will move home from London Waterloo to London St. Pancras and will open a new station at Ebbsfleet, Kent. In addition to Eurostar’s new homes we will also be using the high speed line to connect with the channel tunnel and Europe at speeds of 186MPH, the fastest train service in the UK. Welcome to High Speed Europe!

    justin dont hate, the trains would last, we just dont have a Goverment or private sector able\capable to undergo such a Project. Building one would be a great way to Boost our economy, especially a system touching all the states.

    In mainland Europe the speed of these trains is 300 km/h. The ridiculous ’299 km/h’ which
    often crops up in publications is the result of a conversion from km/h to mph and then back. If one goes on converting and back converting the Eurostar eventually grinds to a halt.

    what are you talking about, the third rail is for derailment purposes not for power supply. High speed trails get power from overhead electric supply.
